Southern Spain : Seville - Malaga

May 28 - June 3, 2022

Day 1 (May 28) Arrival in Seville Airport  

Your trip in Andalusia begins in Seville. Upon arrival in Seville we will be welcomed and assisted
To our comfortable vehicle. The transfer time from Seville Airport to Seville city center is approximately 20-25minutes. We’ll enjoy an afternoon panoramic private boat trip along the historic part of the city. There’s no better way of seeing Seville. We’ll view these historic monuments along the banks of
the river: the Old Bullring, the Triana District, Palm Tree Avenue, the Golden Tower, etc.
Afterwards our first Spanish dinner at Restaurante Rio Grande. Rio Grande is a popular restuarant located at the banks of Seville River, it has panoramic views of the t monuments and historic part of the city. Restaurant Rio Grande serves traditional Andalusian cuisine, including a long range of paellas, fresh seafood and fish, as well as roasted meats and tapas.

Day 2 (May 29) Discovering Seville and a Flamenco experience  

Breakfast at our hotel.
Walking tour Seville: Roof tops of the Cathedral and St Cruz Quarters. This is a combined visit with a private guide. The Cathedral of Seville is the third largest church in the world. This amazing example of the Spanish architecture holds the great mausoleum of Christopher Columbus. Our tour will be a special
one including “another view”, visiting the Cathedral along the roofs and towers. The we are off for the Santa Cruz District, the old Jewish sector of the city. This is a quiet pedestrian friendly area with narrow streets and flowered courtyards, white houses, chapels, taverns and souvenir shops.

Time for a tapas lunch at the local bars. We’re off to enjoy an itinerant tapas tour, truly the best way to get some local atmosphere and try out the food. We’ll visit 3 popular and traditional local taverns, tasting tapas and enjoying some drinks along the way. Our afternoon is at our leisure in Seville city Center.

Dinner and Flamenco Show in Tablao El Arenal. The popular Tablao El Arenal is in a 17th century historical building, located in the lively district of El Arenal, next to the historic center.
El Arenal is one of the most authentic flamenco shows in the city.
Return to our lodging.

Day 3: (May 30) Exploring the countryside  

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit and olive oil tasting at a traditional Andalusia farm producing extra virgin olive oil. A beautiful way to see the countryside. On our return to Seville we will visit a typical Andalusia “White Village”, Carmona, we will stop for lunch or a coffee here. Afternoon at leisure in Seville.
Dinner at Casa Robles, well known for their traditional Andalusian cuisine.

Day 4: (May 31) From Seville to Malaga visiting Ronda on the way  

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Ronda. Ronda has retained much of its historic charm. It’s famous worldwide for its dramatic views and for the El Tajo Gorge, the River Guadalevín flows through the gorge. We’ll see the 18th century Puente Nuevo, which straddles the 100m gorge. On arrival, there is a short walking tour to the “Tajo” gorges, the famous bullring and St Maria la Mayor Church. After the tour, we’ll continue to visit a local winery where will enjoy a wine tasting followed by countryside lunch. Winery: Bodega Joaquin Fernandez, located in the stunning Serrania De Ronda, the mountain range surrounding Ronda above the Costa del Sol…..views, views, views!
Continuation to Malaga.

Arrival to the hotel, check-in and time at leisure.
Dinner at leisure.

Day 5: (June 1) Discovering Malaga  

Breakfast at the hotel. Malaga full day visit. Málaga is the capital city of the Costa del Sol. Costa del Sol was founded by the Phoenicians as a colony some 3000 years ago then it came under the rule of the Romans, the Carthaginians and the Moors. It’s ancient streets, lovely villas, lush vegetation and good weather make this city one of the most popular destinations in Europe. We’ll visit Malaga via a walking tour through the most important monuments, such as Plaza de la Merced and the home where Picasso was born. The tour includes the visit to Cathedral and Gibralfaro Castle. We’ll have lunch at Bodega Bar El Pimpi, which is probably the most popular bodega bar in the city. Antonio Banderas is one of the owners of this restaurant and it is the best place to enjoy local food, wines, the culture and traditions of southern Spain. After lunch, we’ll visit Picasso Museum. I’m so excited!!! The people of Malaga are very proud that Picasso was born in Malaga and that the Museo Picasso (Picasso Museum) is located here.

After the visit return to the hotel and time at leisure. Dinner at leisure

Day 6 (June 2) Visit to Alhambra Palace in Granada  

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Granada to visit Alhambra Palace. The palace is on a rocky hill that is difficult to access, on the banks of the River Darro, protected by mountains and surrounded by woods. The Alhambra rises is an imposing castle in reddish tones. It’s ramparts were designed to prevent the outside world from seeing the delicate beauty they enclose. Our tour will take us through: Nasrid Palaces, Fortress (Alcazaba), Charles V Palace and Medina to finish in the Generalife Gardens and Palace. Tour duration of 2h30.

Lunch at Carmen de San Miguel, located on the slopes of the Alhambra in Granada and at the foot
of the Bermejas Towers. This restaurant specializes in local traditional dishes. After lunch, return to Malaga.

Afternoon at leisure or enjoy the last afternoon in Malaga by shopping and discovering the
City.

Dinner at Vinoteca Los Patios de Beatas. The Vinoteca, the best of Andalucia and the rest of Spain with
more than 500 wines in their library to select from. A beautiful final evening dinner venue.

Return to the hotel after dinner and overnight.

    Deposits  

    Payment of a 50% deposit due at the time of booking to reserve your place. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure. A maximum number of 10 guests will go on this tour. All accommodations and services are subject to availability at the time of booking.

     
       
    Cancellation Policy  
    All cancellations must be made in writing and be received by email within the outlined time frames listed.

    • More than 90 days before departure of the trip: 50% cancellation fee over the deposit.
    • Less than 90 days before departure: no refunds can be guaranteed. TWS will try to get as much refunded as possible to the client upon negotiation with the local travel suppliers.
